A National Tribute To Our Fallen Heroes

George Lutz lost his son George Anthony Lutz II to a sniper's bullet in Fallujah, Iraq on Dec. 29, 2005. As with many other grief stricken families he wanted to know that their sacrifice was not in vain and the nation would never forget. George searched for a universal symbol that specifically acknowledged the American service men and women who bravely sacrificed their lives for our country.

“America does not currently have a tangible national symbol that is specifically dedicated to express respect and gratitude for the lives lost in defense of our freedoms. The Honor and Remember Flag fills that void,” says Mr. Lutz.

The Honor and Remember Flag was unveiled at a Memorial Day ceremony on May 26, 2008 in Norfolk, Va.
Honor and Remember, Inc. has a goal to see that some 20,000 Gold Star families receive a personalized flag that contains the name, unit and date of death of the service member.
As of 2/2/10 Virginia became the first US State to adopt the Honor and Remember Flag as the Official Flag to honor fallen service men and women.

What a shame our Country has no National emblem to honor the Fallen Heroes who gave their lives so courageously and un-selfishly for our Freedom. We have flags to honor our MIA's and POW's. Why not one to honor the Fallen Soldiers who gave us the ultimate sacrifice? I think the whole Country needs to know about this wonderful project being taken on by George Lutz and his associates. Send this article to everyone on your mailing list, lets help spread the word. Be sure to sign his petition and make a donation.

George will be traveling to every state capital beginning the first week in June and ending at Arlington Cemetery on Labor Day. His 22,000 mile will be to petition each state to follow in Va's steps and declare the Honor and Remember Flag a new state symbol.

Honor and Remember Flag, Inc is a non-profit organization and is working with many organizations across the country to see that all of our Country's brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom are honored, and will live on in the lives and hearts of All Americans.

The colorful remembrance flag although simple, is very distinctive in the meaning of each symbol displayed. You can purchase these flags in either screen print or hand stitched appliqué.
The Red Field represents the blood spilled by brave men and women in America’s military throughout our history, who willingly gave their lives so that we all would remain free.

The Blue Star represents active service in military conflict. This symbol originated with World War I, but on this flag it signifies service through all generations from the American Revolution to present day.
The White Border surrounding the gold star recognizes the purity of sacrifice. There is no greater price an American can pay than to give his or her life in service to our country.
The Gold Star signifies the ultimate sacrifice of a warrior in active service who will not return home. Gold reflects the value of the life that was given.
The Folded Flag signifies the final tribute to an individual life that a family sacrificed and gave to the nation.
The Flame is an eternal reminder of the spirit that has departed this life yet burns on in the memory of all who knew and loved the fallen hero.

HR 1034 was introduced Feb 12, 2009 by Rep James Forbes (R-Va), it is still in the Committee stage. Contact your Representatives and let them know we want the Honor and Remember Flag to be our national emblem to honor our Fallen Heroes.

In a wonderful gesture of Patriotism George Lutz plans to leave the first week of June on a 23 week trip across the United States to visit state capitals, giving presentations to many organizations and meeting Gold Star families. On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2010 he will arrive at Arlington National Cemetery, completing his 22,000 mile trip. If he is coming to your town be sure and attend one of his meetings. For more details go to Honor and Remember, be sure to sign the petition. Let them know of any Fallen Heroes you know so they can be forever honored. Your donations will be greatly appreciated by them and will help to see that all our Gold Star families are recognized.

The Hypocricy of Government

I, like many other citizens across this great Nation anxiously awaited the "Bipartisan H.C. Summit". Most of us were hoping for an open discussion from both sides on major issues that plague this monstrous bill. Our great leader, Obama delegated himself to be the moderator of this so called open forum, which in itself should have shown us that this would not be what was expected. Taking center stage, Obama quickly took the opportunity to let the world know he is in charge and what he wants is the way it will be.

In his show of bipartisanship O. was very quick to remind Sen. John McCain (R-Az) that he is the President and McCain lost the election. McCain said he was quite aware of that fact. I think Sen. McCain should have added "many of the people regret it."
Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tn) in his opening statement said when he was elected Gov of Tn he quickly learned "the people did not want him to fail, if he failed the state failed." He realized he needed to change his way of thinking to meet the people's needs. (Important advice Obama needed to listen to.) Alexander also said the bill needed to be started over, or at least taken a step back and everyone work in a bipartisan manner. Obama was quick to let him know there was no time for that.
I do not know what a big rush we have to be in to get health care reform passed. We don't need this monster bill the Dems want, we need to discuss and weed out all the bad plans and do it step by step. Obama stated  "Baby steps won't work for Health Care."

Time after time, Obama was quick to show his arrogance and superiority to the Republicans. In his no show of bipartisanship Obama interrupt and dismissed the Republican speakers. Repubs were outwardly refuted and denounced by Obama when they made a suggestion, complaint or an observation. Obama interupted them every time they opened their mouth showing agitation for what they suggested. (I guess Obama had to let them know their views do not matter.) Very little time if any was allowed for Republican or even Democratic rebuttal. (Although the Dems offered no comments to the Repubs ideas.)
When the Dems made any suggestion, complaint or observation rarely did Obama make a comment or interrupt them, but rapidly moved on to the next speaker.

Obama argued with Sen. Alexander about the fact there would be no increase in insurance premiums for individual insurance policies. Although the CBO has flatly stated premiums would rise.

The total amount of time the Republicans were allowed to speak was a mere 110 minutes. Obama and his party of Dems were allowed a grand total of 233 minutes! Obama used up 119 minutes, most of which he did nothing but denounce the Republicans and what they had to say.

This was truly another opportunity for a photo-opt for the "Big O". The summit should have never been moderated by Obama. A truly bipartisan moderator needed to be called in. Nothing was accompolished and there was absolutely no bipartisan gestures made.

It was stated they would move on with this bill with or without the Repubs and they needed to move to the Dem side. Obama supposedly has given Congress six weeks to come together on this. He did not leave out the option for Reconciliation, which I believe is a Constitutional disgrace to impose on a matter as important as the Health Care Bill. Obama wants to move on Reconciliation as early as March 29th.f

Since the 'Historical Summit' we are learning of more partisan actions being taken. Obama and the Dems sat down with an athiest organization to negotiate removing "Under God" from the Pledge Allegiace.

Tear Of Grief - Russian gift to USA

I received an email the other day that contained a little known fact about the generosity and sentiment a former enemy of our country gave the People of The United States. I agree with the thousands of people who believe this needs to become known to all.
Shortly after the terrorists crashed civillian airliners into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and into the ground in Pennsylvannia, Zurab Tsereteli, a renouned Russian artist was deeply distressed. He wanted to build a memorial for all the innocent victims. With tears in his eyes his envisioned what the memorial would be. Tsereteli came to the US, visited Ground Zero, researched where his Memorial should be placed and finally began making arrangements for the location for his monument "to the struggle against world terrorism."

Russian President Vladimir Putin was in Bayonne, NJ on Sept. 15, 2005, meeting With the town's mayor he spoke of the Unity of our Countries. They discussed the plan's for the memorial the Russians were to dedicate the United States to honor the victims. Although no ground was broken that day the decision was made to place it in Harbor View Park, formerly the Military Ocean Terminal. The park overlooks Lower Manhattan, where the World Trade Centers once proudly stood.
Pres Putin said "This monument will always give vivid embodiment to our unity. Certainly, this is going to be a splendid memorial."
On September 11, 2006 the 'Tear Drop' memorial was dedicated by Tsereteli. The ceremony was attended by former President Bill Clinton, Gov Jon Corzine, Mayor Joseph Doria, Jr., survivors and family members of victims of 911 and many other dignitaries.

The monument stands 100 feet tall, there is a jagged tear in the middle, leaving an opening for the 4 ton, 40 foot tall, nickel plated tear drop to hang. The base is 11 sided and bears the names of the 2,973 victims of the 911 attacks on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and the crashed plane in Pennsylvannia. The artist also included the names of the 6 victims of the 1993 Trade Center Bombing.
The majestic Tear of Grief is attributed as gift from "Russian President Vladimir Putin, the people of Russia and the artist" to the people of the United States, in the spirit of France's gift of the Statue of Liberty.

The spectactular memorial is visible from Lower Manhatten, the Statute of Liberty, ships passing through New York Harbor, airplanes and the Staten Island Ferry. Visiting the memorial will be number one my next visit to New York.

I believe this to be a true gift of sincerety from the people of Russia. Not only did the artist refuse any money for his work, but the Russians paid for the building, shipping and assembly of the monument. It is a gesture that cries out to the world that we must join together to fight the terrorists of the world in unity.

I am an avid news watcher and like many others had never before heard of it, there was quite a ceremony, and the dedication was well publicized. Maybe due to the fact the ceremony was held on the 5th anniversary most of the media's attention was based on the memorial at Ground Zero.

Watch this great video about the monument.

Young Americans Taking On Big Government

In these troubling days that are ahead of us, we look back on how our Country got into this mess. I believe a lot of the 2008 election had to do with the fact we were all tired with the Bush Administration and really wanted a change. Little did the young and old people who voted for Obama know what they were to get was going to be disastrous for this country.
Obama was voted in not for his political standards but on his charisma. Oh how he fooled everybody with his grand remarks and promises that turned out to be false.

Many of the young people I talk to today whom voted for Obama wish they would have studied the candidate and paid more attention to the politics of this country. They are now learning how this country is being run and actively studying the candidates vying for the votes in 2010.

Many young adults just don't have the time or care what is going on in this Great Country. Some say they don't understand, so they remain ignorant to the world around them. Many young Patriots feel there is something they can do to change the our Country's Political system and are doing it!

Mike Huckabee (Fox News) featured 2 young men on his Feb. 6, 2010 show who are both still high school seniors, 18 years old and running for public office!  What a wonderful show of Patriotism and Courage these young men have. I am so impressed with these young men and their great aspirations for this Country, I want all of you to know about them.

Matthew Flynn of Canton, NY a registered Republican is running for the State Legislature District 8. Flynn embraces a hardline approach to fiscal conservatism has gained him a considerable amount of support.

Flynn's opponent running for the GOP primary is Kevin D. Acres, a Madird dairy farmer. Acres, a 20 year member of the Madrid-Waddington Board of Education and has much support that comes with that position in public elections several time.

Jared Christianson (D- Ellsworth, Wi) is the youngest person ever to run for the seat of Governor of Wisconsin. He is very verbal on bipartisanship, which is what our government lacks the most. Jared has lots of public relation experience including working through the Civil Air Patrol (Cap), a youth leadership organization. CAP has provided him with communication skills, integrity, leadership skill and disaster relief skills as he worked his way up to Deputy Cadet Commander.

He faces some seriously experienced contenders, on the Dem side he will have to face off with the Mayor of Milwaukee, Tom Barrett. On the Republican side he faces County Executive Scott Walker and former US Rep. Mark Neumann. All very strong and tough contenders.

These young men have seen, studied, understand and lived through this administration's policies. Jared and Matthew are showing the courage to make a stand for their beliefs. Some may say they are too young to be serious candidates, but I believe there are many more young people out there that would like to do something, but are afraid they are too young to try.

Both Jared and Matthew are very well spoken and serious about their campaigns. They share the same convictions many of us share and truly want to do for our Country what they can. Check out their websites and see that there is hope for the young adults of our Country, show them that although we may live elsewhere we support their actions.

It is hard to predict what the outcome of these two elections will be. No matter what I'm sure they will soon be in the spotlight of the Political World. They are truly an inspiration for the young people of this Country. You are never too young or too old to make a difference. I believe in the near future we are going to see many more unlikely candidates stepping into the world of Politics and changing the way politics are being run.

I wish both these young men Good Luck in their Political Future. I will be looking forward to seeing what the future holds for them. Click on their name to go their websites and e-mail them with your support. Young Adults like these two are the future of our Country.

America's History Being Rewritten

Political Correctness is sweeping across the country and will soon be instilled in our schools. Our history, civics, health and other courses will change.
It appears that Tx and Ca are the leading buyers of school textbooks, and what they want will be implemented in the textbooks our children use in school. These states purchase all their books from major publishers who cannot feasibly print textbooks for all the different states curriculum. When these states decide that changes need to made, it affects all the states. Texas is on the verge of voting in March to make some ridicules transformations to the history of our country's history. California's financial situation has not allowed them to buy new textbooks for a few years, so The Countries Eyes Are Upon Texas!

Our children will no longer call the men and women "Founding Fathers" that's too sexist! We long have known that our "Founding Fathers" also included women and I have never heard any women complain about it. They will soon be referred to only as "The Framers."

Once politically correct "Senior Citizens" (disrespectful)  will be known as "Older Persons." I recently celebrated my 60th birthday and I do not want to be called an "Older Person." That phrase makes me feel older than I am!

Guess what else, an old fashioned hot dog, ice cream cone and all other unhealthy and delicious foods will not be shown or discussed in the Health Books.

We no longer will have a "Jungle", it will be a "Rain Forest." For some reason I do not believe the Jungles in Africa even relate to the "Rain Forests" of the Amazon. Of course that could be because I am becoming an OLDER PERSON, before I am ready.

Neil Armstrong will no longer be in the books. Why? Because the panel choosing the contents say he is not a scientist.

Unbelievably Franklin Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower may not have a place in history. They will be replaced by Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates. We all know of all the accomplishments Oprah and Gates have achieved but how stupid to eliminate two great Presidents who led our country through a World War!

Outrageously, Benjamin Franklin, one of our "Founding Fathers" (I don't believe in the new politically correct term) who fought for the freedom of this Great Country and created our Constitution may be equated to Cesar Chavez as significant political figures. Chavez was instrumental in the rights of agricultural workers. I do not see a comparison to the two.

History of Nathan Hale may be replaced with the story of the man who invented the Fireman's Hat!
Columbus Day, Christmas, Religious and Patriotic statements are proposed to be erased.

If this happens we can probably presume the we will no longer be American Citizens but Global Citizens.

Will our DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE BE STRIPPED OF ALL RELIGIOUS REFERENCES?

Contact your Congress person and tell them to stop the Texas Board of Education changing our Countries History. http://www.tea.state.tx.us/index4.aspx?id=3803

A New Future

mThere has been so much talk about the State Of The Union Address that Obama with his usual flair of eloquence gave on Wed night in only 70 short minutes. The sad thing is no one seems to be talking about the wonderful GOP Response given by Governor Bob McDonnell (R-Va). In a few minutes he summed up Obama's speech and showed the same flair of eloquence as Obama but with sincerety. I fear the delay between the Prez's speach and McDonnell's was too long and some people didn't want to hear the recap on Obama and clicked the TV off. Maybe many people flipped him off during the long and dull speach. The person most enjoying it seemed to be Nancy Pelosi.

Gov. Bob McDonnell was recently sworn in following a special election, which started the upset of the Dem party and the beginning of the Grand New Party (GNP). A Revolution is beginning.

Although encouraged with Obama's talk on unemployment, McDonnnell said "1 in 10 American workers is unemployed. That is unacceptable." Not actually condeming the current administration he went onto say "Good government policy should spur economic growth, and strengthen the private sector’s ability to create new jobs."

The Gov. talked about Health Care and agreed we need to reform it stating "Republicans in Congress have offered legislation to reform healthcare, without shifting Medicaid costs to the states, without cutting Medicare, and without raising your taxes." Implying the partisan Dems carried out all the negotiations without any support from the Repubs. The Repubs solutions are not 1,000 pages and would be read by all and not tax us to death.

McDonnell brought up the near disaster on Christmas Day and commented on the beliefs of the majority. "This foreign terror suspect was given the same legal rights as a U.S. citizen, and immediately stopped providing critical intelligence. As Senator-elect Scott Brown says, we should be spending taxpayer dollars to defeat terrorists, not to protect them." I wish more of our Administration had those feelings.

On the Administrations  handling the banks, auto industry and even small businesses he had this to say, "Top-down one-size fits all decision making should not replace the personal choices of free people in a free market, nor undermine the proper role of state and local governments in our system of federalism."

Realizing the fears the citizens of the United States have about the direction this Country is headed, he stressed we shouldn't be. "Some people are afraid that America is no longer the great land of promise that she has always been. They should not be."  I am afraid we will fear for this Great Country if major changes aren't made this year.

His closing statements talked about the beginning of a new future for our wonderful United States of America, Land of the Free.

"Our Founders pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to create this nation. Now, we should pledge as Democrats, Republicans and Independents--Americans all---to work together to leave this nation a better place than we found it.
God Bless you, and God Bless our great nation."

These are just a few of his remarks. It was very encouraging to hear someone who happens to be hearing what we are saying.

The People Of Massachusettes Have Spoken

On Tues. Jan. 19, 2010 the United States was sitting on pins and needles as we awaited the election returns for the special US Senate seat in Massachusettes. An Independent Scott Brown was running on the Repub ticket against Martha Coakley the well known Dem candidate. From the beginning the odds were against Brown, as the election drew near, the Dems realized they were in trouble. Mass. is predominately a Democratic State. The seat up for grabs was the one occupied by the legendary Ted Kennedy for 46 years.

The citizens of Mass. came together and took this Country by surprise, they had the courage to stand up for their strong beliefs and say they were fed up with the current administration.

Brown is an Independent who ran with the Republican party. His overwhelming victory has stunned the world.

"As state Senator, Scott Brown has led the fight in Massachusetts against wasteful government spending and higher taxes. He is a free-market advocate who believes our strength as a nation flows from its people. He believes in a culture of family, patriotism and freedom. At his September 12 announcement of candidacy for the U.S. Senate, Senator Brown articulated a core set of beliefs that guide his thinking.

•Government is too big and that the federal stimulus bill made government bigger instead of creating jobs
•Taxes are too high and are going higher if Congress continues with its out-of-control spending
•The historic amount of debt we are passing on to our children and grandchildren is immoral
•Power concentrated in the hands of one political party, as it is here in Massachusetts, leads to bad government and poor decisions
•A strong military and vigorous homeland defense will protect our interests and security around the world and at home
•All Americans deserve health care, but we shouldn't have to create a new government insurance program to provide it"

Sounds too good to be true, we now have an Independent person who was elected on the Republican ticket with the same beliefs we the people have. The change we want is coming to DC.

Scott Brown comes to the US Senate with new hope for all the people of America. He was little known throughout the Country, until the real Patriots of the Country discovered him. The Republican Party realizing what a critical vote this was began pushing his campaign, Patriots across the Country began to feal his beliefs are real and not just a lot of promises. His record as State Sen proves that. Brown fought State Government for the beliefs of his constituents. The support for him came as a big surprise to the Dems, they tried to save the election, but failed.

There is already talk on both sides of the party to revamp their political strategies, could this be the beginning of a bipartisan government? Will both parties move towards the center for the good of all the Country?

I believe he will be the first of many free advocates to enter the political arena this year. The people are finally being heard. Yes change is coming if we all work together and have the courage of the people of Mass. voters. They appeared at the polls in record numbers on a miserable snowy day for a special election. They realized just how 'special' this election was. It could be the turning point for the future of this Country.
